DIRECTIONS FOR USING THE COCONUT KEFIR – ORALLY

  • It must be stored in the refrigerator after the period of fermentation and remain there until consumed.
  • As the coconut kefir is live flora (good bacteria) it continues to multiply even past expiry. The taste will become more bitter as time passes. It can be used past expiry, however, if the good bacteria has consumed all the sugars in the coconut water then they will not have anything to sustain them and they will die and the kefir will no longer be beneficial, it will be just like drinking coconut water without live flora. It will not be harmful but will not be as beneficial.
  • Do not shake. Open cover a sink as it is very bubbly.
  • Pour out – do not put any spoon in the bottle to contaminate it or drink straight from the bottle as this may introduce bad bacteria.
  • Initial Dosage – Babies – from 3 days old – 1 drop in the tongue (slowly increase overtime).
  • Initial Dosage – Child – 1 – 2 teaspoons in the morning before eating – about 15 minutes before.
  • Initial Dosage – Adult – 1 – 2 tablespoons in the morning before eating – about 15 minutes before.
  • This amount should be gradually increased to more times in the day as well as a larger amount but must be done very slowly, eventually up to 3 – 4 oz. However a small dose can be maintained for general health.
  • Drink lots of water – you will notice an increase in your thirst as the beneficial bacteria starts colonizing the gut.
  • It creates lots of energy so do not start taking at night as it may keep you awake, once you have become accustomed – then the time of the day is not as important.

The reason for cleansing so slowly is that what the coconut kefir is doing is killing the overgrowth of yeast in the gut. As bad as the yeast/bad bacteria is for us when they are alive they are also toxic to us when they die off so we need to do it slowly, another reason for drinking lots of water. The amount of water to drink depends on body weight. (Weight divided by 2) then divided by 8 OZ = ___ cups. This is a minimum amount required and once this is achieved – it should be increased.

As the coconut kefir is getting rid of bad bacteria, many times they may be a period of constipation as the body attempts to rid itself of waste faster than the colon can handle it, which is why we always start off slow with the doses of kefir. Cleansing is always elevated by using home enemas followed by rectal colonization. What is recommended is a saline home enema. After the movement is achieved it – which should happen in about 5 minutes, it is advisable to then insert coconut kefir rectally to achieve colonization of gut flora. Before the advent of many modern drugs, the old fashioned way to heal the gut was through enemas, because of the taboo of this method, persons preferred to take a pill and so this type of therapy is not as common as before but many alternative healers still recommend this type of therapy.

Just as when taking kefir orally, you always want to start off slowly as the work of the kefir is to get rid of candida and though the candida are harmful to us when they are alive in our body, when they die they produce acetaldehyde which is why we can experience the above reactions, so it is a slow process as not to overload the digestive system.
